Looney Tunes 'Masters of Animation' Cel by Clampett

This very special limited-edition framed animation cel represents the first time that Warner Bros.' own Masters of Animation can be seen grouped together, surrounded by seventeen of the characters that they made famous. The masters represented are: directors Tex Avery, Bob Clampett, Friz Freleng, Chuck Jones and Bob McKimson. Also included are voice artist Mel Blanc, and Carl Stalling, whose musical direction was instrumental in the making of the Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies cartoons. The art was originally conceptualized and designed by Ruth Clampett, Director of Creative design for Warner Bros. Worldwide Retail, as a mural for the Flagship Studio Store in Manhattan. The image began with a painstakingly rendered background, assembling images of these historical figures as they appeared in the 'Golden Age' of Warner Bros. Animation. This hand-rendered background was then reproduced on a beautiful, uncoated, archival paper stock, using the lithography process. Each cel was expertly hand-painted and the limited edition number was hand inked in an edition size of 500.
